ROG Zephyrus G15: Lean, mean, gaming machine

The ROG Zephyrus G15 (2022) GA503 is easily one of my personal favorite devices that I’ve reviewed so far in 2022. It’s about as close as it can get to a plug and play PC gaming experience. And that’s not something you can say for many laptops and/or PCs.

The Zephyrus G15 (2022) brings with it a distinct look, top-notch gaming performance, and a really solid audio-visual experience. As a gaming laptop, this is about as perfect as it gets and is something I can easily recommend especially if you’re willing to splurge for it.

M2 MacBook Air vs M1: Spending $200 has never made more sense

The MacBook Air with M2 is in many respects a significant improvement over its predecessor. It offers better performance, a more modern design, an improved display, and some smaller but notable improvements.

If you are one of those users who use the MacBook primarily for everyday tasks, such as surfing the web, reading emails or watching videos, you should consider whether the new design is worth it compared to the cheaper $999/£999 M1 MacBook Air. A M1 Macbook Air will be able to handle all these tasks without any problems.

But if you do more with your MacBook or use it for professional applications such as video editing or photo editing, the M2 MacBook Air is definitely worth the extra money compared to its predecessor. In fact, if your budget allows, we recommend jumping to the higher-end model with a 10-core GPU for the extra storage and better graphics. And as always, you should buy as much memory as you can afford

The M1 MacBook Air is definitely a good machine even at more than a year and a half old, but you’ll be much happier with the newer MacBook Air in a year or two.

MacBook Air M2 review (2022): Apple’s near-perfect Mac | Engadget

The new MacBook Air is a spectacular revamp for Apple’s flagship ultraportable. It’s far thinner, it has a fantastic new screen and speakers, and Apple’s M2 chip makes it a genuine powerhouse. It has everything we’d want in an ultraportable, and sets a new standard for the entire industry.

THE GOOD

  • Far thinner than before
  • Gorgeous 13.6-inch screen
  • Great quad-speaker setup
  • Excellent M2 performance

THE BAD

  • More expensive than before
  • Some speed throttling for extended tasks
  • No ProMotion

MacBook Air M2 Review: Bigger Screen, Better Camera, Faster Chip

The updated Air not only has a new look but its performance is closer to that of a MacBook Pro than past Air models. Along with the upgraded processing power, you’ll find a larger, better display, a full-HD webcam, four-speaker audio and it’s even a touch lighter. You will pay a little more for it, however.

THE GOOD

  • Bigger, brighter screen
  • Modern design with new colors
  • A high-res webcam, at last
  • Excellent performance and battery life

THE BAD

  • More expensive than the model it replaces
  • New power adapter is a paid upgrade on some configs
  • New webcam adds a screen notch

Apple MacBook Air (M2, 2022) review

The MacBook Air (M2, 2022) is Apple’s follow-up to the best laptop it ever made, and while it comes close, it doesn’t quite beat the previous model. It’s got a fantastic design, bigger screen and incredibly long battery life, but also a much higher price tag. Think of it more as a replacement for the 13-inch MacBook Pro, and it starts to make a lot more sense.

Apple MacBook Air M2 (2022) review: a whole new Air-a

Apple has finally redesigned the MacBook Air, giving it a completely new chassis with a new display and processor. It’s an incredible machine but comes at a higher cost than the previous M1 Air.

THE GOOD

  • Thinner, lighter design
  • Much-improved screen
  • Much-improved webcam
  • All-day battery life
  • Great performance for most tasks
  • MagSafe charging is extremely convenient

THE BAD

  • More expensive
  • Gets warm and throttles aggressively under intense workloads
  • Base model has much slower storage
  • Display notch gets in the way of menubar apps
  • Midnight color gets covered in fingerprints
  • Port options are still limited
